In #SOUTHLAND’s new episodes, Lydia is in the “who is my partner” world. Right now she has “two or three or maybe four partners.”

SOUTHLAND doesn’t rip stories from headlines, but it has one episode that is inspired by something that happened a couple of times.

#SOUTHLAND actors found out that NBC canceled show on Day #2 of filming the last of the six new episodes.

On #SOUTHLAND Ben McKenzie would like his character to explore a long-term romantic relationship.

#SOUTHLAND will only add footage to the pilot when TNT re-airs it commercial-free. The other NBC episodes will air as before.

Southland commercial free premiere on Jan 12.

TNT’s saturation promotion of “Southland” has begun– and the man in black is playing a key role.

During the past week, the cable network has started airing a striking 60-second spot touting the return of the John Wells drama canceled by NBC. The background music, appropriate for such a dark show: Johnny Cash’s haunting “God’s Gonna Cut You Down.”

TNT aired the “Southland” promo several times during the highly-rated premiere of “Men of A Certain Age” and has been airing it frequently on the network. The series bows with a commercial-free presentation of its pilot on Jan. 12.

You and a friend will hang with Ben to learn about his work and life in Hollywood.

Ben McKenzie is best known for playing Ryan Atwood in the hit television series The O.C., which earned him many Teen Choice Award nominations. He appeared in the films 88 Minutes and Junebug, which earned him a Sarasota Film Festival nomination. His first starring role in a feature film was in the 2008 indie release Johnny Got His Gun which garnered excellent reviews for his solo performance

He currently stars in the police drama series, Southland, in which he plays a police officer named Ben Sherman.
