New video section

Posted by Kaitlin on August 06, 2009 | Filed under Site Updates, Video Updates | Browse the News Archives

I’m sure you’ve all been wondering what happened to the streaming media section. Well, in my effort to upgrade it a few weeks ago, I somehow managed to kill it and it hasn’t worked since. Rather than going through the pain (and believe me, it is a pain) of trying to install a new streaming media archive and re-upload all of the videos, I decided to install a WordPress download manager plugin and created a new video section which can be accessed here (also in the nav at the top of the page). This makes adding new things on my end a snap and since it’s a simple 1-click process to download the files for you too, it makes it easier on both of us. Please let me know if you have any issues with the new download section and I’ll look into it. :)

Breaking TCA 2009 News: Changes on the horizon for Southland’s second season.

With Southland getting a second season commitment, Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios says there will be some changes as it enters its second season while speaking at today’s NBC Summer Press Tour.

“I have an incredible passion for the show,” says Bromstad. “We’ll have to see come fall how it does. We’ve made some creative adjustments. I think they tried to do too much in the first six episodes. They sort of serialized it with that large ensemble. [The new season] is going to focus on Regina King and Ben McKenzie — those two sets of officers and detectives and sort of focus on crimes and how they come together.”
